Don’t drink and Drown, Swansea 2016
In 2016 our Chair, Adam Whitehouse, worked closely with the South Wales Police Swansea University Student Liaison team to deliver two Royal Life Saving Society ‘Don’t Drink and Drown’ Campaigns in the city. The student population in and around large waterways is increasing with new developments on going with UWTSD SA1 waterfront sites and Swansea University’s flagship Bay Campus! The initial plans became very popular among all statutory agencies through the city’s Community Safety partnership with City & County of Swansea Council, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and even the Swansea City FC Community Trust getting involved!
We are looking forward to running similar events with our Swansea partners in the future utilising our new events gazebo for everyone’s use during campaigns.
